ON MY OWN

Again I find myself to be on my own
Though quite surprised to be all alone

I am really trying to get over the past
Which a shadow of darkness did cast
Like a devil who’s very huge and vast
But again I hope that this will not last
As soon from my mind it’ll be blown

I am trying to overcome that thought
In between emotions as I was caught
And to escape it, I’m struggling a lot
But to me nothing my efforts brought
Life was pushed into a distressed zone

It’s just your past that always pursues
And that’s forced as you can’t choose
Even though if you try to break loose
Those pains taken by you are of no use
That is what experiences have shown

But now the things are on the change
It’s just normal that earlier was strange
Trying to by myself within my range
And past emotions about to exchange
To which sorrow and grief were prone

I’m on the journey to self realization
And that’s leading to great revelation
Also changing life’s entire definition
Providing me with new aim and vision
With which the confidence is grown

And now I am happy in my own way
With peace and calm in my everyday
As even the time is also here to stay
Watching me and my thoughts in play
As things here seemed turned to stone

TWISTS AND TURN

This life of mine is full of twists and turn
As my journey’s lighted by a dim lantern

With the shadow of past falling on future
Encrypting the summary into a brochure
Of all my deeds and of all the endeavors
While escaping odds by safe maneuvers
Which often the hindrance tries to spurn

Weighing the deeds, balancing the same
Amidst earning rewards facing the blame
Sometimes I feel being confused and lost
Still trying hard for recovery at any cost
Therefore to save the skin from the burn

Using my efforts for clearing the barriers
With courage of the knights and warriors
In order to survive the struggle and to win
From the lustful wishes of the soul within
By cleaning away the weeds and the fern

That may have accumulated in the heart
And towards weird ends trying to assert
So as to get free and again escape away
Towards the path where all the evils lay
Often to be transferred through a cistern

Again I have realizations inside the mind
And of my duties they also try to remind
As they also control the errors I can make
So that I just don’t put up this life at stake
For in the end contentment I have to earn

THE ROSE GARDEN

It was just like any other normal day
To reach my office I was on my way
When I almost stepped inside my office
Waiting for me over there was a notice
I got to pack up as I was transferred
To where a vacancy had just occurred
With various thoughts I started again
While moving through the busy lane

I finally reached the place I had to be
And as I entered I was amazed to see
Near the office was the small nursery
And its beauty was really a mystery
As the very look was calm and peace
The flowers swayed by a gentle breeze
mostly they were roses in various colors
And were prominent among the flowers

They had grown almost up to my knees
Surrounded by butterflies and the bees
They were red, pink, yellow and white
And their beauty increased in the night
Their fragrance used to spread around
Increasing the beauty of the compound
They used to ease the stress of the jobs
Turn into smiles one’s cries and sobs

Then suddenly a new proposal did came
The words written were indeed shame
It had the plan for the garden’s removal
And a fountain to be built on its funeral
Trying to save it my efforts went in vain
As I knew I won’t be able to see it again
By now they were like the part of soul
As in my happiness they had a key role

But then those stubborn peoples above
Just couldn’t understand nature’s love
And it happened of which I was afraid
As before my sight its grave was laid
And in its place they placed the rocks
Along with wooden and metal blocks
By calling that process by renovation
Again to me it was like an aberration

The roses in the garden were my friend
And the good wishes they used to send
But now their appearance is no more
This emptiness makes my heart go sore
I wish to get these friends again alive
So that together we’d live and survive
Wish I’d get back the beloved garden
Help me God get some magic to happen
