MY HOBBIES

The hobbies of mine are really quite a few
As I’m found always up to something new

Often I enjoy expressing myself in poetry
Exploring my thoughts solving its mystery
But you just can not guess it or find a clue

Again I try to capture the beauty of nature
Framing them in slides, God’s architecture
As joy, peace and calm, from them I drew

I like to collect coins and also the currency
But it’s not the wealth that I always fancy
It’s the history of them that I try to pursue

There are stories I read and the songs I sing
And holding the guitar I often pull its string
Thus in this way my leisurely time did flew

We shouldn’t be classified by faith or race
Love must prosper and differences erase
Debating to help solving all the social issue

Trying to express myself as best as I could
So that my thoughts are easily understood
I try to voice my opinion and point of view

Watching the sun set walking by the beach
To touch the sun, if my hands could reach
Even though I try hard, my efforts eschew

I love to climb up to the hills and mountain
Ride on to the clouds and make them rain
Or get to the sky and make the stars skew

Across the fields or else inside the forests
Near grasslands and trees my desire nests
Close to nature I wish to bid my soul adieu

In this life I wish for satisfaction and peace
Taking happiness and grief with equal ease
Fulfilling all my desires and leaving no due

That’s all where my heart and mind incline
This is how my pleasures I seek to define
And as for the rest, I leave them up to you

POLLUTED DIRT

I used to walk and I am walking still
Feeling as if this surrounding will kill

Barren lands, drought stricken and dry
Upsetting me a lot and making me cry
I wonder how on earth this poison spill

As I helpless watch grasslands vanish
The beauty of the nature getting tarnish
Wish awareness and concern we can till

It’s high time now to realize our mistake
As our whole existence is now on stake
Only if it could be saved by strong will

I miss the beaches and the jungles too
Lakes have disappeared, rivers are few
And I long to take a walk up to the hill

Trees have fallen, jungles also erased
And I’m now left shocked and amazed
As what the back of our minds did fill

And now what I breathe is polluted dirt
Atmosphere’s gloomy which really hurt
Excavates my mind, my heart does drill

Lost my way to industries and factories
Longing to feel the fresh gentle breeze
Finally ending up in the noise of the mill

Wish I could save myself and the earth
Do something for the place, I took birth
To save nature, I wish to attain the skill

So that we all can see the nature bloom
And the life on earth doesn’t end in doom
Its beauty we can enjoy and we can thrill

MEASURE OF SUCCESS

What is the actual measure of our success?
Let us debate on this and let us now discuss
Is it by having money and power in excess?
Or just able to enjoy peace and happiness

Money often seems only to make us worry
To accumulate it we are always in a hurry
The thirst for power brings about tensions
That leads us to uncomfortable situations
And we should try to avoid this weakness

But the quest for happiness brings us calm
With a feel as if the world rests in our palm
Giving an opportunity to pursue satisfaction
As success is achieved by justified action
To which we can always proudly confess

Too much of wealth will get you confused
With unchecked power, pride gets induced
These are ingredients for one’s downfall
And along with them misfortunes befall
As there isn’t any end to one’s selfishness

Follow contentment avoiding resentment
Don not envy neither other’s sentiment
Be humble and polite don’t hold the pride
Don’t let temptations to take you for a ride
Or else you will find yourself in a mess

So make your efforts in right direction
Look into your self for self realization
Spread around love, humanity and care
True pleasure lies in sacrifice and share
Real success is good health and wellness
