LOST ACQUAINTANCE

Again a long lost acquaintance
Made me feel the special presence

Of something which I did miss
As I realized that life was bliss

Which I wasn’t aware of before
As I heard the knock on the door

Of my heart, soul and the mind
It made me recollect and unwind

Retrieving efforts for happiness
Releasing tensions and distress

Once again bringing life on track
With memoirs from the flashback

Towards the unprecedented future
Where buds of success will nurture

All that happens, happens for good
By that idea, I have always stood

No regrets or repercussion of past
As misfortune doesn’t forever last

And now a new breath of life I feel
As some ties matters a great deal

As I wish to hold on to the moments
Hope I could check my sentiments

Not getting lost in any false dream
And get hurt by emotions extreme

Still I have full faith and trust
But want to check emotions outburst

Let me now see what lies ahead
And experience all before I am dead

STARS OF THE NIGHT

There isn’t much about the stars of the night
Often dimly lit and sometimes shining bright

Silently twinkling gently ad shimmering away
Through the darkened hours bringing respite

Still the significance of us hardly gets noticed
Again there is just no rescue from this plight

The sun and the moon have been prominent
And our glory has remained rather out of sight

We have always existed in peace and silence
Our togetherness never saw a clash or a fight

We may be shadowed by the clouds at times
But we always return with a smile to delight

Constellation and galaxies can’t be without us
The whole universe sparkles through our light

We are like puzzles, unsolved and unexplored
As it has been impossible to achieve our height

We live in peace and we are united in harmony
To feelings of envy and jealousy we never bite

We’re aware of our limitation and restrictions
With love and care we hold each other tight

We try to sparkle gloomy moments of others
A selfless initiative, one should try to cite

Of our status we have never held any pride
We illuminate lives like an honoured knight

We listen to our heart and abide by the heart
And we always try to do what we think is right

We are calm and always down to earth beings
Always humble, we never display our might

Poetries and prose have been written for us
Thoughts and imaginations we always excite

And finally there is no fuss about our existence
As we live in silence and we die away quiet
