ATTEMPTING AN ESCAPE

I am running, my feet barely touching the ground
Escaping from each and everything that surround

As I desire to be in the destination of my dreams
Down the hills to valleys flowing like the streams
A utopia, where the ultimate peace can be found

Wish I could spread my hands like wings and fly
So that I can then touch the clouds up in the sky
Where the thoughts relax and the divinity is bound

Taking a leap over the earth round the universe
Where all tensions and worries I could disperse
Getting relieved so their existence cannot hound

Trying to race away without leaving a trail behind
Where regrets of failures and losses I can unwind
Listening to nature's music with heavenly sound

As when provided with wisdom and intelligence
We used the opportunity for terror and violence
Seeing the results even the Almighty too frowned

From the troubled waters to safety, sailing away
Keeping all the anxieties and also the grief at bay
Hoping that terror and violence will be drowned

Assuming myself to be the lucky one over here
Facing truth and fighting the false without fear
So that finally like the king I could be crowned
